Patrick Jo is a candidate for Ridgefield’s Board of Education. A 2024 graduate of Ridgefield Memorial High School (RMHS) and now a Pre-Commerce student at the University of Virginia, Patrick understands what the district needs because he is a product of it. Having attended Ridgefield schools from Kindergarten at Shaler Academy through 12th grade at RMHS, he brings firsthand knowledge of the district’s strengths and areas for growth to help all students thrive.
At 15 years old, Patrick began his professional journey as a Crew Member at McDonald’s, where he learned the value of hard work and serving the public. These same values guided him during his internship with Rep. Donald Norcross (NJ-01) in Washington, DC, following his junior year of high school, and again with Rep. Josh Gottheimer (NJ-05) both after graduating from RMHS and during winter break of 2024-25 while at UVA. During his senior year, Patrick also interned with the U.S. State Department’s Video Captioning @ State team, and now serves as a Congressional Analyst Intern in the State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration. These experiences have given him meaningful insight into legislative affairs, public policy, and the importance of public service. In all his work, Patrick has remained focused on one priority: the people, and how he can best serve them.
This same value and passion for public service is what motivated him to run for Ridgefield’s Board of Education, to serve Ridgefield’s residents, and to improve our education system.
